Credential Pathway After SCDA
Successful completion of the 48-hour NCDA School Career Development Advisor Training (SCDA) and Certification Program makes participants eligible to apply for the NCDA Certified School Career Development Advisor (CSCDA) credential. NCDA requires applicants using this pathway to provide evidence of successful completion of the approved SCDA training.
NCDA Certified School Career Development Advisor (CSCDA)
The CSCDA credential is designed for professionals who help prepare students and youth for meaningful work and career management. Successful SCDA training completers may apply for the credential through the NCDA Credentialing Commission.
Completion of SCDA training does not automatically award the CSCDA credential. Participants must complete NCDA’s separate credential application process and meet the applicable credentialing requirements.
